"MAKE AUSTIN WEIRD AGAIN"

The Texan city which defiantly goes against the grain, and prides itself on the odd and unusual, gave all the inspiration needed for a touch of silly and sassy for this symposium theme: Make Austin Weird Again. Setting the context for this event, and allowing us all to embrace the wonderfully wacky aspect of our profession, is the live music capital of the world; home to food trucks, driverless cars and a feeling unlike any other. 

 

Our host hotel, The Loren, will be the home to the outrageous outfits and vibrant visuals. Our day of talks, on 23rd June, will take the stigma bull by the horns as we discuss all things neurodiversity within the industry - things that can have us labelled as 'weird', but make us spectacular and successful. Open minds and open hearts are the only compulsory.

On our final night, 23rd June, we go all out. Having visited - and gained an education at - one of Austin's Honky Tonk Bars, the next day I was walking through Williamsburg, NYC when I saw a literal sign - 'Horses and Divorces'. The theme for the final night was set there and then. Buckle up, it's about to get weird and wild.
